The most vivid memories from my childhood are those of being out in the forest or playing hide and seek around my relatives' farm. I have wanted to become a farmer for a long time. Now that I live in a city, I am starting to miss pitch-dark nights and the smell of freshly cut grass. Staying in the urban environment for too long makes me neurotic, and I feel that something is not right, that this life may not be real. I belong less and less to the world I grew up with and which I thought would become my home. For this project, I write short stories inspired by real events and am revisiting places and events with which I am familiar. What connects the photographs and texts is the place where they come from - my hometown in Slovenia. It's a peculiar journey, but I am aware of my privilege to be able to enter, observe, and reflect on what I experience. The project was originally published in a newspaper format.
