Blurring the Lines is a non-profit organization that seeks to promote and encourage all initiatives in various fields of photography and education, contributing to academic, local, and global dialogues, enabling young graduates to obtain international recognition.
Blurring the Lines is composed of different groups that work in coordination that ensure the overall strategy and mission of the organization:
The Board of Directors is legally empowered to oversee the organization running, set its strategy, and approve its work program. It does so in dialogue with individual and organizational members and our partners to understand the priorities and interests of the organization.
The Advisory Board includes leading thinkers, curators, scholars, and image-makers from all over the world, who advise the organization on its message, strategy, formats of activities, and partners.
The Benefactor members provide funds and other resources to the organization to develop our activities.
The Active or supporting members are individuals who adhere to or support our organization. They support our projects, campaigns, and actions with a one-time donation or as a supporting member. Their donations and memberships contribute to our comprehensive work program and help us be more robust and independent.
The Partner institutions are participating institutions that actively participate in the selection process of their talents. They play a vital role in participating in activities such as the annual conference on photography and education and developing activities at their institutions. Â
Blurring the Lines (hereafter "BTL") has legal registration in France and was created on February 1, 2021, as a non-profit organization law of 1901 (Association loi 1901 in France).
Blurring the Lines is accountable to the Board of Directors, our members, and national authorities. Blurring the Lines is committed to transparency, being responsive to stakeholders, and using funding in the most responsible way for long-term impact.
